Office Information

Appointments

Our office hours are 8-2 pm Monday and 7:30 am-4:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  We are closed on Friday. We work with each family to accommodate your individual needs. We make every effort to be on time and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. Occasionally a child requires extra time or immediate emergency care. These situations may cause a delay in our schedule, but we will make every effort to treat your child in a timely manner.

If you should need to reschedule your appointment, please contact our office 48 hours in advance so we may offer that time to another child awaiting treatment. Failure to keep a scheduled appointment without 48 hours' notice may result in an office charge. Please note, should you need to reschedule your child for a sedation appointment, we require 48 hours advance notice.

Insurance and Billing

We participate with:

  • Delta Dental
  • Cigna Dental

We accept payment from most other insurance companies, our office does not participate with Medicaid or Child Health Plus programs.  If you have Anthem, Highmark or GHI/Emblem dental insurance you will pay in full at the time of service and insurance will reimburse you..

If we have received all of your insurance information on the day of your appointment, we will file the claim for you. It is important that you are familiar with your insurance benefits, as we will collect the estimated amount that your insurance is not expected to pay. By law, your insurance company is required to pay each claim within 30 days of receipt.

Please understand that we file dental insurance as a courtesy to our patients. We are not responsible for how your insurance company handles its claims or for what benefits they pay on a claim. We can only assist in estimating your portion of the cost of treatment. We at no time guarantee what your insurance will do with each claim.

No insurance company pays 100% of all procedures and the benefits are not determined by our office. Dental insurance is meant to aid in receiving dental care. Most dental plans pay between 50%-80% of the average total fee. Some plans may pay more and some plans may pay less. The percentage paid is usually determined by how much you or your employer has paid for coverage, or the type of contract your employer has set up with the insurance company.

As a courtesy to you, we do allow parents to send their children with a responsible adult to their appointments. However, patient portions are due at the time of treatment and it is the responsibility of the parent to provide this person with the estimated patient portion for the appointment. Failure to do so may result in our office having to reschedule your child's appointment.
